About Pharmaceutical Sales Careers And Other Positions

Friday, June 15th, 2007

A pharmaceutical sales career is a very rewarding one. Not many other careers offer the same types of perks and benefits along with a fairly high paying job as pharmaceutical sales position. The role of helping well educated health professionals treat their patients better is special indeed. I’ve even had the pleasure of being introduced to actual patients by some of my doctors. (more…)

When we go to a doctor, take our favorite pet to a vet or hire someone to paint our house, we all want to deal with experts. We want to hire someone who has made a career out of helping people with the same issues as we have now.

Human Resources Consulting Firm Provides Employee Retention Guidance

Sunday, November 12th, 2006

You attract them, you screen them, you interview them, you hire and train them, and then they leave you. It is estimated that employee turn over costs U.S. companies over one billion dollars annually. This cost comes from the expenses associated with: Screening resumes, interviewing candidates, testing, travel and moving expenses, training, costs associated with exit interviews, the administrative work that comes along with terminations, separation and severance pay, and increases in unemployment compensation. Keep Your Office I-9 Compliant

Sunday, November 12th, 2006

In the time that I have worked as an HR Consultant, I have stumbled upon a large amount of employers who do not know how to properly fill out their I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) documents. This poses a rather large problem in the event that an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent would come through the doors for a file audit, because each incorrectly filled out I-9 will cost an organization between $100-1000 in fines and penalties. Sunday, October 15th, 2006

From the purchase of a new car to grabbing a quick burger, people are exposed to examples of exceptional and poor customer service every day. As the Client Relations Manager at an Arizona based HR consulting firm, I receive constant compliments about our stellar customer service. Regardless of compliments, the importance of exceptional service continues to attract my attention. I am confident that each of us can think of numerous times when top notch, friendly, and helpful service enhanced our day. (more…)

The PEO: Your Competitive Advantage

Sunday, October 15th, 2006

Having worked for an Arizona PEO company for quite some time, I still find myself continually shocked by the diverse mix of companies that benefit from outsourcing their human resources and payroll services. For instance, just the other day I was sitting across the table from a new client who had been in the construction industry for about three years. The unique thing about this visit, however, was that this table looked nothing like the long board room conference table I am used to encountering. Instead, it was a small glass kitchen table situated in the owner’s cozy two bedroom apartment. (more…)

Arizona PEO Companies Recommend Strong New Hire Orientations

Arizona PEO companies and HR consulting firms are working towards removing the question, “What new hire orientation?” from the minds of Arizona business owners and their employees. Our consultants are too frequently hearing comments like, “I didn’t know that Jim was the owner until after I’d been here for three weeks” or, “If Sharon hadn’t told me time cards were due on Tuesdays, I wouldn’t have gotten paid.” (more…)

Managing Ineffective Performance

Sunday, October 15th, 2006

Job performance is considered ineffective when productivity is below a standard considered acceptable at a given time. Most instances of poor job performance are attributable to a small proportion of the work force. Ineffective performers consume considerable managerial time and drive the overall company performance backwards.

The causes of ineffective performance can be rooted in the person, the job, the manager, or the company. (more…)
